Here is the first pick of the day, simulated and posted:

7/7: NY Yankees at Boston (Game 1), 12:35pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

NY YANKEES 8, BOSTON 3

In Game 1 of this Saturday afternoon/night doubleheader, our simulation likes the Yankees to come out on top once again. The Bronx Bombers won their second in a row in this series beating the Red Sox with clutch hits as they managed a total of 13 hits and pounded Red Sox starter Morales. He lasted only 4.2 innings of work, allowed 10 hits and 6 earned runs while talking 3 batters and striking out 5. Nothing to write home about and not enough against this Yankees lineup that includes Robinson Cano (2 hits), Mark Texeira (2 hits), Nick Swisher (2 hits), Eric Chavez (2 hits) and Russell Martin (3 hits). Freddy Garcia did not have his best stuff and he did allow 11 hits total in the span of 6.1 innings pitched but he also got himself out of some big jams and allowed only 3 earned runs. Again it wasn't that the Red Sox couldn't hit it's that they couldn't cash in with runners in scoring position. Yankees take Game 1 of the double-header.

PLAY: New York Yankees ML -102

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Mark Teixeira (NY Yankees), 2-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2 BB, 3 R

Here is another simulation they had today:

7/7: Toronto at Chicago White Sox, 4:10pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

WHITE SOX 3, TORONTO 2

It was another rough one for the Toronto Blue Jays who played so well on Friday night but came up short. Well same story on Saturday according to our simulations as the Jays pitching staff had another good outing but the bats were kept quiet and managed only 2 runs on 7 hits. Ricky Romero bounced back from a horrendous start last week and went 7.0 innings allowing 7 hits, 3 earned runs and recording 5 strikeouts. The bullpen shut the door but Home Runs by Adam Dunn and Alex Rios against Romero were the difference in this game. Gaving Floyd pitched a strong 6.1 innings for the White Sox allowing 5 hits, 2 earned runs and striking out 4 batters but it was the Blue Jays lack of punch with runners in scoring position that made all the difference in the world. Jose Bautista and Edwin Encarnacion combined for an 0-8 night and that just won't work from your guys in the 4-5 slot against a hot team like the White Sox. Stay hot my friends.

PLAY: Chicago White Sox ML -138

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Alex Rios (White Sox) 2-3, HR, 2 RBI, 2B, R

mokoman i don't want to get in trouble but alright, here is a 7pm play:

7/7: NY Yankees at Boston (Game 2), 7:15pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

NY YANKEES 6, BOSTON 4

It happened again. When things go bad they go bad and sometimes they go really bad. The Red Sox needed a win more than anything in this one to avoid losing the first three of the series to their rivals from New York. All looked good with the Red Sox up 4-1 in the 5th innings but the Yankees scored the next 5 runs and that was that. Phil Hughes was awful for the Yankees going 5.1 innings, allowing 10 hits and allowing 4 earned runs while striking out 3 with 1 walk. Having said that the bullpen picked up the next 3.2 innings of work and Rafael Soriano finished this off with yet another save. Felix Doubront was on the mound for the Red Sox and the converted reliever went 6.0 innings allowing 6 hits, 4 earned runs and recording 4 strikeouts but it wasn't enough as the bullpen came in and allowed 2 more runs late with the scored tied 4-4. Mark Teixeira and Raul Ibanez each went deep (Ibanez hit two Home Runs and finished with 3 RBI's) and the Yankees finished with 12 hits. The Bronx Bombers find a way to win.

PLAY: New York Yankees ML +100

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Raul Ibanez (NY Yankees) 2-4, 2 HR, 3 RBI, 2R

7/7: Tampa Bay at Cleveland, 6:05pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

CLEVELAND 4, TAMPA BAY 2

The Indians and Rays played a low scoring game which is almost unheard of these days but it was the Tampa Bay bullpen that managed to blow yet another game as Joel Peralta was the culprit this time for the Rays. Rookie Matt Moore had a decent outing going 6.2 innings of work and allowing 5 hits and 2 earned runs while striking out 3 but the bullpen was awful once again. Michael Brantley and Johnny Damon both hit triples for Cleveland and 7 of the 9 batters in the Cleveland lineup finished with at least one hit. Usbaldo Jimenez pitched 6.0 strong innings allowing 7 hits and only 2 earned runs while striking out 5 batters and walking 2 in the end. The Rays didn't do much with their bats and they left a ton of runners in scoring position in this game and it was Chris Perez who saved the day for Cleveland with the bases loaded in the TOP of the 9th innings. Indians win.

PLAY: Cleveland Indians ML -115

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Chris Perez (Cleveland) 1.0 IP, 0 H, 1 K

7/7: Atlanta at Philadelphia, 7:15pm (ET)

SIMULATION RESULT

ATLANTA 5, PHILADELPHIA 3

The Atlanta Braves continue to roll despite the Phillies lineup being healthy and ready to roll. Things are not clicking right now for the Phillies and our simulation has them losing again in tonight's game. Tommy Hanson had his fair share of issues pitching 6.0 innings and allowing 6 hits, 2 earned runs and recording four strikeouts before handing the ball to the Braves bullpen who allowed 1 run over the course of three innings. Jimmy Rollins homered again for the Phillies but having Ryan Howard in the four spot did not pan out for the second game in a row as he went 0 for 4 and needs more time to adjust. Joe Blanton lasted 6.0 innings and allowed 6 hits and 2 earned runs. Not a great outing but not a bad outing. It was the bullpen that blew this wide open by allowing 4 runs to the Braves in the final three innings. It was an all around effort by the Braves batting lineup but Michael Bourn was the anchor and it was his heads up base running that got them some key runs late in the game.

PLAY: Atlanta Braves ML -102

PLAYER OF THE GAME: Michael Bourn (Atlanta) 2-5, 2 RBI, 2B, 2R
